GENUINE AND CLAIMABLE THIRD PARTY INSURANCE, A BETTER OPTION

Whole day Ruined, NGN5,000.00 lost, courtesy of an auto clash

The heated argument following shouting and abuses after the auto crash attracted so many passer-by and people around the area including the louts.

How seemingly the two looking gentlemen whose vehicles were involved in the auto crash allowed the louts to start mediating in the issue was really intriguing and surprising if not so funny.

The head lout (assuming leader of the louts) discovered that the bone of contention to a point was refusal of NGN5,000.00 compensation offered by the negligent driver to the person whose vehicle was damaged by the crash. The latter insisted that the money could not be enough to fix the vehicle.

Head lout:  (To the negligent driver) Oga na only this amount you get?

Negligent Driver: Of course, I no get any other money here.

Head lout: (Turned to the Victim Driver (the one whose vehicle was damaged)) Oga you can see, what happened has happened. Why not collect this money?

Victim Driver: He has to fix my vehicle. Can’t you see NGN5,000.00 will not be enough to fix this damage?

Shockingly, though not surprising to the audience keenly watching the drama, the head lout without further comment started walking away with the NGN5,000.00, other louts following him immediately.

Negligent Driver: Oga them de go away with the money o !

Victim Driver: What is my business with that? My vehicle has been fixed …

Only God knows how many more hours they wasted with their disagreement before they together drove to a nearby Mechanic Village to waste more hours till they were both exhausted by the situation.

The victim driver eventually decided to fix his car at his own cost by himself.

How can you describe one experiencing wasting a whole day along with NGN5,000.00 just like that?

Availability and Use of Genuine And Claimable Motor Insurance, A Better Option

But a genuine and claimable Third Party Insurance could have made a better option as all above engaged in by the two drivers were totally uncalled for.

Where each driver is having at least a genuine and claimable Third Party Motor Insurance, the underlisted could have been carried out within about 20 minutes and everyone continued with one’s business for the day.

  • All involved remaining calm, self composed and comported after the crash carefully coming to an agreement on whose Insurer should bear the cost of any damage involved in the autocrash (this should the Insurer of the negligent driver)
  • Pictures capturing the License Plate of each vehicle with damage on them taken as evidence that an Auto crash truly took place
  • Letter Admitting Fault drafted and signed by the negligent driver.
  • Copies of Drivers Licence, Vehicle License and Insurance Certificate from the negligent driver secured
  • All above with the incident report (of how the crash occurred)

Conclusion

Motor Insurance is better available and not needed than to be needed and is not available.

Is your vehicle having at least a genuine and claimable Third Party Motor Insurance required by law for any vehicle to be considered roadworthy?

We strongly recommend that you have  complete and valid all auto / vehicle registration documents including at least Third Party Insurance Certificate as the need for any or all of them might arise any time in any place.
