IS THE TRAFFIC LAW FOR YOU OR YOU FOR THE TRAFFIC LAW?

  • Post comments:1 Comment

One who has come across the saying that The Law Is Made For Man And Not Man For The Law may wonder if the same statement also applies to the Lagos State traffic Laws, policies and other laws.

The traffic law (made) for you simply means that the traffic law is made for your benefit, your advantage and made to protect you. But you (made) for the traffic law really could mean that the same law is made against your benefit, against your advantage and to hurt you.

The later could further portrays that the law is like a trap set with the intension to catch you and hurt you.

As you read to the end of this article, the opinion of the writer is dramatically revealed and your acceptance, rejection, amendment, and or any other response to the same opinion could be stated in the comment section below.

PREGNANT ENQUIRIES FOLLOWING ONE OF MY GREATEST JOY AND EXPERIENCE

One of my greatest joy and experience is to see one of our Office – Outlets open for Customers to book for their transactions (works) like Auto Registration, Change of Ownership (Auto Re-Registration), Auto Reg. Documents Renewals, Drivers Licence Application, Auto / Motor Insurance and more.

The Banner was mounted, the banner graphics were self-explanatory, and the expected awareness intended was wow!

But then some prospective customers attracted by above set up will ask:

“So what makes you different or special from the Licensing Office?”

And we could try to point out that:

  • Our website can enable one process ones’ vehicle papers from the comfort of one’s room or office using Smart Phones, Laptop, etc
  • How just booking transaction (work) e.g. Auto Reg. Renewal at our Office Outlet will save you the hassles, stress and more of going to more than one office for the same as different Government Agencies and Stake – holders are needed to have ones complete Auto Reg. Renewal processed. You are contracting us to do so on your behalf through Client Representation when you make bookings at our office outlet, through our website or via our social media pages

This means going to only one office and have all your renewals done rather going to three Offices (sometimes more than once) to achieve the same

  • Our delivery services in place which you may not obtain from the Licensing Offices and others
  • And on the list goes with hope to win his / her patronage

DIFFICULT REQUESTS, OUR SINCERE ADVICE AND HUMBLE OPINION

Some prospective customers with earlier mentioned pregnant questions (questions filled with meaning) after our answers will boldly for instance request:

“Can you process my Certificate of Road Worthiness without my vehicle going for the compulsory vehicle Inspection test?”

“Can you … (and on and on it goes on evading one law or the other?)”

Hmmm … ,

We neither condemn nor blame these prospective customers, but rather than trying to use us to evade the law, why not use our years of experience, innovations and technology in place to fulfill the same laws with ease and peace of mind?

Why? Because (in our humble opinion), the law is for you (your benefit) and not otherwise.
