Some just through WhatsApp have snapped copies of their vehicle documents, sent the same to their Agents or known staff of a Licensing Office and have their Vehicle Registration carried out.
Better and more efficient is above documents scanned and mailed to the recipient (Agent or Licensing Office Staff) for desired Auto Reg. transaction.
3.0 SECURITY CONCERNS, TECHNICAL LIMITATIONS AND LOGISTIC DEMANDS AGAINST CONTEMPORARY (TODAY’S) ONLINE AUTO REGISTRATION AND RENEWALS
There are Individuals and companies / businesses that serve as channels (respectively middle-man and entities between Government and Vehicle Owners) to enable processing of Auto Registration and Renewals to be done by proxy. These act as agents to willing Vehicle owners.
The security concern to the above is that while some are genuine and recognized by the Government (some may not have been recognized by the Government but are still genuine), some others are simply fake and fraudulent.
Technically, vehicle documents are not handled by a single stakeholder, for example in Lagos State, MVAA handles Vehicle License, Certificate of Roadworthiness is handled by VIS and Certificate of Motor Insurance is handled by Insurance Companies. The latter and more have posed a limitation to the level at which Online Auto Reg and Renewals has developed in Lagos and other States of the Federation.
Furthermore, the need for interaction with above stated stakeholders to completely process a vehicle registration or vehicle paper renewals have posed levels of logistic demands to the vehicle owner or his /her representative.

Online Auto Registration and Renewals at different levels of development notwithstanding, one like Rachel in our Introductory story can still actualize the dream of processing one’s vehicle registration with the simplicity and ease similar to making an online or mobile fund transfer without going to the bank.
You just need a reliable, genuine, and honest Client Representative, CR (a kind of Agent) to handle the whole process on your behalf. Contract the CR by Phone Call, WhatsApp, Web portal, Mobile App, or any other available online means and have your transaction done with your minimal or no involvement.
